Dermalux – Award-Winning LED Phototherapy
Dermalux is the internationally recognised leading brand for LED phototherapy which offers unmatched renewal of the skin and recovery through advanced light sessions.
What is Phototherapy?
This treatment is non-invasive and uses low-level light energy, delivered via LED lights which omit a specific band of light that helps your skin repair and restore itself naturally.
How Does Phototherapy Work?
Light energy is naturally absorbed by your skin and then converted into cellular energy which your body can use. This system in your body supports hydration, repair, and resilience while underpinning the skins function on a deeper level. Targeted Red, Blue, and Near Infrared wavelengths have been proven to provide therapeutic specific benefits in contrast to UV light, which can harm the skin.
Results Support by Clinical Evidence
Various studioal studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of phototherapy in treating a variety of skin conditions. Research shows that Dermalux can promote collagen renewal, reduce inflammation, and hasten tissue healing.

What Do the Different Wavelengths Do?
Red Light – 633 nm
Also known as the ‘rejuvenating wavelength’, Red light penetrates 2–3 mm into the skin and is absorbed by fibroblasts—cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin. This light promotes hydration, faster regeneration (up to 200% faster), and a healthier skin barrier. Leaving skin that looks more radiant, even-toned, and resilient. This type of red light has to be on a very specific spectrum, and therefore not all red light is equal and effective. Dermalux works on the effective spectrum.
Blue Light – 415 nm
Blue light is most effective for breakout-prone and oily skin types. It penetrates the upper layers of skin (up to 1 mm) and targets Cutibacterium acnes, triggering a strong antibacterial response that clears blemishes and helps prevent future flare-ups. It therefore balances oil production and soothes redness when used with Red or NIR light.
Near Infrared (NIR) – 830 nm
This invisible light penetrates deeper (5–10 mm), making it ideal for sensitive, reactive, or compromised skin. NIR enhances circulation, delivers oxygen and nutrients to skin cells, and activates immune responses that support detoxification and cellular renewal. It’s also useful for reducing pain, swelling, and pigmentation by influencing key pathways in melanin production.

Using a home LED device to support Salon treatments and slow the ageing process
If you are already investing in regular salon treatments and professional skincare, then adding an LED mask to your weekly routine is an effective way to enhance the results you’re achieving. While homecare devices are not as powerful as professional devices, their convenience means you can apply them to your skin in the comfort of your own home and, if necessary, continue with other tasks at the same time.
Most LED masks feature two studioally proven wavelengths: Red (613nm) and Near Infrared (833nm). These wavelengths are absorbed by the skin and detected by the cell’s photoreceptor, where the light is converted into energy that enhances cell activity. Red light promotes the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, accelerates cellular renewal, and can reduce hyperpigmentation over time. Near-infrared light penetrates deeply into skin tissues and has a soothing and healing effect.
As skin ages, cellular energy (ATP) naturally declines, which contributes to the visible signs of ageing, including lines and wrinkles, laxity, dullness, and hyperpigmentation. Using a home LED mask, 3-5 times a week, is an easy, relatively inexpensive way to boost ATP, improve treatment results, and slow down the natural ageing process.
Not all LED masks are created equal. The wavelengths are only therapeutic when precise. The broad light spectrum means that a cheap device (there are lots) may not have the technology required to ensure safety and efficacy. For this reason, I recommend faceLITE, which is studioally tested and science-backed.
