Jo Hannan conducting a Neurotris Microcurrent Facials in Fleet

What is a microcurrent facial?

More than a surface-level facial, microcurrent works beneath the skin’s surface, engaging your skin’s physiology with gentle bioelectrical signals that enhance those naturally occurring within the skin. These signals help maintain lift, definition and radiance. Microcurrent is often associated with its lifting ability and has been referred to as the non-surgical facelift; however, the effects go further than simply toning muscles. Microcurrent increases cellular energy (ATP) to encourage skin healing and collagen production, strengthen skin and restore vitality from within. Treatments also target every interconnected system, including the lymphatic, circulation, connective tissue, fat pads and muscles, without trauma, and are both proactive, helping to naturally maintain a youthful skin appearance, and corrective, for those wanting to regain a fresher, firmer, and lifted appearance. If you’re looking for natural skin rejuvenation and results without the downtime, I recommend Neurotris microcurrent.

Bear in mind not all microcurrent treatments are equal, as technologies vary.

At my Skin Studio, I use the Neurotris SX3800 microcurrent device, which I’ve specifically chosen for its Dynamic Intelligent delivery with four independent channels – simply put, exceptional delivery for the best results with every treatment. All treatments are individually tailored to improve skin health and address clients’ areas of concern. To understand more about the science behind microcurrent and what makes it so beneficial for the skin.

My microcurrent facial treatments can be booked by time (60, 75, 90 and 120 minutes) and may include other treatment modalities and skincare Actives, such as Dermalux LED, Iontophoresis (to aid product penetration) or a microcurrent mask, to deliver the best results for each individual client.

Results are cumulative and longer-lasting with a course of treatments, and muscle memory allows the re-education of muscle tissue to lift and sculpt facial contours.

How does a microcurrent facial work?

Microcurrents work at a cellular level to energise the skin and muscle cells producing many benefits for the skin. Skin and muscle tissue are naturally electrically charged in nature and require this energy to function. As we age this energy known as adenosine triphosphate (ATP) naturally declines which contributes to the ageing process. Microcurrent treatments can boost ATP by up to 500%, aiding cellular processes, which include healing and regeneration.

During each bespoke treatment, I select the most ideal signature microcurrents to target my client’s skin concerns and those I observe. The superficial epidermis, dermal layers, fascia (connective tissue) and muscle tissues are all treated, improving the skins elasticity and hydration levels and restoring a natural glow to the skin. Collagen and elastin production is stimulated, and the skin’s vital barrier functions are improved making microcurrent a skin health treatment.

Skin Elasticity from Microcurrent Facials in Fleet

Skin's elasticity

The Tone program is one of my favourites, as it treats the epidermal, dermal, and fascia tissues.

Tone produces a tingly sensation, which feels active yet relaxing while toning the skin’s elastin fibres, producing a tightening effect on the skin.

Good for all skin types and ages and improves skin texture and scar tissue.

Gentle

My clients find their Neurotris treatments relaxing.

Think of it like taking your face to the gym while you relax. Because this treatment doesn’t create any skin trauma, there is no downtime.

Neurotris – Advanced microcurrent science

Neurotris – Advanced microcurrent science

Skin is naturally resistant to microcurrent, with levels fluctuating day to day. Skin tissue density, low mineral levels, hormones, hydration, stress and even your sleep cycle can affect this. Many microcurrent devices deliver what’s known as static current. In practice, this means the optimal level of current may not be effectively delivered to the skin’s tissues and facial muscles.

Dynamic current technology, a cutting-edge innovation, delivers the most effective outcomes. The Neurotris SX3800 machine features a unique biofeedback monitoring loop that detects skin impedance and, in real time, adjusts the microcurrents delivered during each treatment.

Dynamic microcurrent, compared to static microcurrent, ensures that every client achieves their maximum potential results. Being well hydrated improves treatment results, and a personalised homecare routine will further enhance your overall skin health and longevity.

Four Independent microcurrent channels

The SX3800 and its patented Pico Probes deliver a single channel of microcurrent to each probe. These independent signals, combined with the automatically adjusted signature currents, provide exceptional delivery to enhance your results with every treatment.
The SX3800 has seven Signature microcurrent settings, allowing me to tailor treatments using a range of tools, including Pico Probes (four prongs), Infinity Probes, Silver gloves (hands-on, massage-style delivery), pads, and clips for mask application.

Results

Skin looks fresher and more toned, and fine lines may appear softer, with results often more visible 1-2 days later. With a course of treatments, results accumulate, and skin appears more youthful and sculpted. Results vary individually, as with any treatment. I always explain this in more detail during the consultation.

Looking for a CACI Facial in Fleet?

If you are searching for a CACI facial in Fleet, you may be looking for a non-invasive treatment that uses microcurrent to help tone facial muscles, refine facial contours and support firmer-looking skin. CACI is one of the UK’s best-known microcurrent brands, but it is not the only professional system available.

At my skin clinic in Church Crookham, Fleet, I offer Neurotris Dynamic Intelligent Microcurrent. The system monitors how your skin responds to microcurrent and adjusts its output during treatment. Its four independent channels and selection of treatment tools also give me the flexibility to create a facial around your skin, facial structure and individual goals.

I do not offer CACI treatments. I chose Neurotris because its responsive technology complements my bespoke approach to skin health and facial rejuvenation. If you are comparing microcurrent facials in Fleet, read my CACI versus Neurotris comparison to understand how the two systems differ and what you should consider before booking.

Your bespoke 75-, 90-, or 120-minute treatment will be delivered using a combination of advanced technologies to give you the best skin rejuvenation results. Please note that my 60-minute treatment is purely a lifting and sculpting treatment; no other modalities are included.

Microcurrent Facial Treatment Summary

Prep

Drink 2 glasses of water, 2 hours prior to your treatment, this will improve the microcurrent conductivity and your results.

Downtime

There is no downtime with this treatment.

Typical Course

6-10 treatments of 1 hour. This is dependent on the individual skin.

Aftercare advice

Drink two glasses of water following your treatment, avoid wearing make-up where possible and wear a good quality factor 50 SPF daily. Following a course of treatments, a monthly treatment is recommended to maintain your treatment results.

Lifestyle factors also influence the appearance of your skin, therefore eating a nutritious diet which includes a variety of fruits and vegetables (‘eat the rainbow’) provides your body and skin with important antioxidant protection, helping to reduce oxidative stress and consequently, visible signs of ageing. Exercise, which can include facial, self-massage techniques (which I share with my clients), hydration, good quality sleep as well as managing stress, all play a part in taking care of your skin. A holistic approach encompassing good habits and good skincare will not only help to maintain your results but make you feel good too.

Importance of a good home care skin health routine

Treatments are more effective and give you better results when your skin is in a healthy condition. As part of your treatment, I will advise you on specific skincare that you can use alongside your treatments to address any skin concerns and to optimise your treatment outcome.

For the ultimate results, you could join Mi Skin Prescription.

How long will my results last?

Following a course of treatments, improvements can last six months to a year, based on the individual’s ageing process.

Advised Maintenance

A maintenance treatment is recommended every four-six weeks, to optimally maintain results.

Testimonials

Geraldine

"I’ve been seeing Jo regularly for the last few years. She takes a holistic view of skincare and I can truly say that my skin under her care is the best it’s ever been. I used to suffer from hormonal skin and serious pigmentation issues but under Jo’s care it’s the healthiest and clearest skin I’ve had. Most recently Jo has been using microcurrent treatment on my face to rejuvenate and tighten the skin and the results have been fantastic - a refining of my jaw and cheeks and overall luminosity.

Beyond this, Jo takes huge care in her advice and delivery. I always feel so relaxed during and post treatments and I would not go anywhere else. If you care about the long term health of your skin, Jo is your woman."

Chloe

I would 100% recommend microneedling with Jo. I am in my early thirties and chose the treatment to boost collagen to help reduce the future signs of ageing. It’s never too early or too late to start looking after your skin! I have had 3 treatments and am looking forward to seeing the results over the next few months as the effects start to show. I can already see some reduction in faint lines and overall people have been complimenting saying my face is glowing more. Jo put me completely at ease, explaining the process in detail before and during the treatment. I felt very safe in her hands and the great aftercare products really helped to reduce the redness and get my skin looking it’s best. Will definitely be back for more treatments with Jo.

Maria

"I initially booked an appointment with Jo for a facial because I really didn’t know what my skin needed anymore, as I’ve hit perimenopause and my skin has become sensitive to all my usual products. Jo recommended the Dermaviduals assessment, and I was willing to give it a go. Afterwards my skin felt amazing and looked really healthy already. I’m just 3 days in, and already my face feels more comfortable and looks glowy. I found Jo to be very professional and knowledgeable, explaining all aspects of skincare in detail. In an ever-increasingly complicated world being bombarded with information and products you “must have”. It is such a relief to be told you just need 3 products. Fantastic experience, highly recommended."
